Lonely Weekend

It’s been a few weeks since I got my new Camera and I’ve been reading Understanding Exposure to get to grips with it. I’ve nearly finished it and I’m really enjoying it. It’s very easy to follow, crammed full with pictures, each with an explanation on how the shot was composed along with the settings and why the settings were chosen.

I’ve also added a new gallery showing the pictures I took while in Edinburgh. Look to the right for the link.

The internet’s newest blogger

After “umming” and “ahing” over how to get a website up I’ve finally decided to use Wordpress. While coding this lot in PHP is infinitely more fun than the very impressive 5minute install of Wordpress, I simply don’t have the time.

I’ve titled this “A place for my thoughts and shit”, undoubtedly this will contain more of the latter.

I have also bought a new Digital SLR camera, a Sony a200 if you’re interested, so I can give Anne-Marie a break from the request “Can I please borrow your camera?” that she endured so patiently in Edinburgh. I would also like to make this a place to post my photographs and learnt photographic techniques. I am so new to photography, the only thing I could tell you is how much I paid for my camera. Maybe this site will end up as a gallery of progression, hopefully resulting in some half decent shots.

I am now going to enjoy the bank holiday easter weekend, four days of nothing planned!

Cya,

Here, have an elephant.. elephant

Twitter / TLDR: I’ve got a blog and camera! :\/
